Obituary of Sadie DeVito

Sadie "Sally" DeVito (nee Ferrara), 92, of Totowa, passed away in her home on November 4, 2015 just one year and one day after the passing of her beloved husband of 66 years, Steven DeVito. Sadie was born on February 1, 1923 in Lodi, NJ to the late Nicholas and Rose (Gebbia) Ferrara. She was an active parishioner at St. James of the Marches Church in Totowa where she was President and Membership Secretary of the Rosary Altar Society. Sadie was also a member of the Totowa Happy Seniors where she served as Treasurer. She was employed by Elcon National for 21 years and held the title of Accounts Payable Supervisor. She was the cherished mother of Steven DeVito and his wife Linda and Robert DeVito and his wife Marilyn Van Houten. She was the adored grandmother of Kathaleen Bolton and her husband Jonathan, and of Kimberly, Michael, Diana, and Daniel DeVito, and the great grandmother of Jack, Devin and Tyler Bolton. Sadie is also survived by her sister Mildred Mobilio and her husband Anthony as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Theresa Pisano and her husband Leonard. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 4-8pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Ave., Woodland Park. A funeral Mass will be offered on Monday at 9:30am at St. James of the Marches Church, 410 Totowa Rd., Totowa. Entombment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Totowa. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to the St. James of the Marches Rosary Society.
