Obituary of Rose C Rotella

Rose Rotella (nee Savastano), 86, of Little Falls, passed away on December 22, 2015. Rose was born on October 21, 1929 in Paterson, NJ to the late James and Mary (Batelli) Savastano. In addition to being a loving homemaker, Rose worked at Myer Brothers in Paterson and was a parishioner at Our Lady of Pompeii Church in Paterson. She later earned the title of Rose Noni as she cared for her grandchildren and great grandchildren and those of her friends, as well. She was beloved wife of the late Raymond Rotella and the cherished mother of Raymond Rotella and his wife Diana, MaryAnne Buchalter and her husband Stephen, and Robert Rotella and his wife Paula. She was the treasured grandmother of Raymond Rotella, Tara Hayek and her husband Vic, Alexis Corte and Chrystal Caciano and her husband John and the great grandmother of Tyler, Hunter, Jaron, Skyler, Juliana and John Tyler. Rose was the dear sister of Frank Savastano and his wife Joyce and was predeceased by her brother Anthony Savastano and her sisters Anna Giordino and Phyllis DeRome. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 1-5pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Ave., Woodland Park. A funeral Mass will be offered on Monday at 9:30am at Our Lady of Pompeii Church, 70 Murray Ave., Paterson. Burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Totowa.
