Obituary of Betty A. Huizing

Betty A. Huizing (nee Maria), age 87, of Long Pond, PA, formerly of Prospect Park, passed away on January 26, 2016. She was born on December 21, 1928 in Paterson, NJ to the late Joseph and Santa (Bufardeci) Maria. Betty was a loving homemaker to her husband and children. She was also an active member of the Democratic Club of Prospect Park. She was the beloved wife of the late David Huizing; the cherished mother of Elaine Murdock and her late husband Ron, Susan Korth and her husband Edward G., and David T. Huizing and his wife Mary Kate; and the loving grandmother to 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She was the dear sister of Russell Maria and his wife Elfriede and Gloria Reda and her husband Art and she is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Visiting will be held Tuesday from 9-11am at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Ave., Woodland Park, NJ. A funeral service will be offered on Tuesday at 11:00am at Santangelo Funeral Home. Entombment will follow at Laurel Grove Cemetery, Totowa. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Betty's family.
