My condolences to the Pegel family & friends. I've known Liz for a little over 5 yrs now ...every Tuesday morning she would visit my place of employment the Wayne Hills Diner. Dear Mariel, Mark, and family I am saddened and heartbroken to hear of your Moms passing. She was a beautiful lady, a dear friend, and the Best Mom ever. Her family was her world. I am very fortunate, proud and happy to have known Liz and be her friend of 34 yrs. A lifetime of memories, of laughs,jokes,dancing silly, holidays, birthdays etc. We traveled to Hawaii and she had the time of her life. I even got her to go on a helicopter (haha) What fun we had and the stories I can tell. We always laughed and boy oh boy did she have the most perfect teeth and a smile that lit up the room. Prayers are being said for you and the family. Mariel, Liz will never be forgotten, for when I look at you I see a "little Liz" I already miss her. St. Patricks Day will never be the same. I am so shocked at Liz's passing. I saw her about a year ago and we spoke of how she loved retirement. She always was so devoted to her family. I will have many fond memories of her and know that she will watch over over all those she loved. I am sure she will send you messages of her strength and love. I know she would want you to know that she is at peace.

Liz was a wonderful neighbor. Always a smile. Very helpful and befriended my mom when she moved in my home about 3 years ago. My mom loved talking with her. I appreciated her help when my sons were young being looked after by her and Mariel when I was working. She was very spirited and enjoyed her company on the bus to NYC defending the environment! Go Liz. You are forever in our thoughts and prayers.

I knew she was a special soul when we met, through our friend, Val.
She was quick to smile and laugh and enjoy those around her.
I was impressed when I learned that when she wanted her life to change..SHE changed it and was eager to enjoy. She has left a warm and loving impression on me, for which I will ever be so grateful. The last time I saw her was at a summer series concert on 6/8. She was full of smiles and warm hugs. She will be missed by many. (I miss her already)

Very sorry for the loss of Elizabeth. Although I did not know her, I do know the name Pegel as I went to school with one of the Pegel's. We are losing too many of our women far too young and we must all work together to stop this from happening.
