Lou and Joan Truskoff posted a condolence

From Lou & Joan Truskoff of Seattle, WA:
We were so sad to learn of Kathy's passing. We first got to know her during the time that she was married to Lou's cousin Bill Bess. She was a wonderful human being, as her obituary describes so well. Kathy and Lou's mom (Anne) struck up quite a friendship; and during Anne's last few years, Kathy was always there for her, helping in so many ways. We will always be grateful for that kindness.

My deepest and most sincere condolences to the Tufaro family and grieving members. In these difficult times I want to commemorate Kathy as a good person, helpful and caring. Although we only worked closely for 2 years Kathy was very knowledgeable in the maintenance field and was easy to work with. After her departure from the grounds div. into her new position, she continued to be helpful and always enabling others. We will miss her dearly. My respects to her family and loves ones, may god bless her soul and may she rest gracefully in peace. AMEN

To Kathy's family and friends, I'm so very sorry for your loss. I remember her talent as a florist and still have the bouquet she created for Pam's attendants at Pam and Scott's wedding. She sounds like a wonderful person who left this world too soon. My deepest sympathy goes out to all who love and miss her.

I am truly sorry to hear of Kathy's passing. I met her at the Clifton Tennis Club many years ago and have great memories of many years of dinners, tennis, flowers and fun.
Unfortunately I was a friend of Bill Bess first and when they parted it was a difficult time but I always felt she was a lady loaded with talent and kindness.
I am sorry I had no idea she was ill because I would have liked to help her no matter how we parted.
May she be happy and with her dad who I had known and truly liked.
My best to all the family.

In My attempt to honor Kathy's memory I'd forgotten to mention one of her most important attributes. Everyone who knew Kathy, knew how inspirational she was when it came to tackling problems and work projects that would be described as difficult or tough in most peoples eyes. With me and I expect with others, Kathy would look straight in your eyes and say "That's not hard, that's fun stuff" and immediately proceed in helping you get the work done. And many times she'd push you out of the way and do it all by herself.
I'd also like to thank Kathy's family and friends for comforting her in a time of need when I was unaware of the difficulties that she faced and for that reason, unable to contribute myself. And a special thanks to her Aunt Marie Barlow for notifying me of Kathy's passing.

Kathy was amazing, one of the strongest women I know. I feel so blessed to call her a friend because she was a true inspiration… always honest, always ready to help. Kathy genuinely cared about the people she loved and you felt it every time you were with her. The first time my son met her, he immediately took her hand and walked to the swings with her. That was the great thing about Kathy, she drew you in, connected with you. She made our lives better with her light and love and now everything just seems a bit dimmer. We're better for having known her and we’ll miss her so very much! – Melanie, Jason & Evan

So thankful to have known Kathy! Her care for others showed in her cooking/baking, care of animals and amazing flower arrangements. She was thoughtful in our gift exchanges for Birthdays and Christmas, and knowing my love of chocolate, I could always count on a very large bag of chocolate in my gift bag! The two of us were different in age, upbringing, etc, yet we formed a friendship that lasted many years. I will personally miss our lunch outings, sharing our lives and the deep conversations we had. The workplace will not be the same without her. She will definitely be missed! May the wonderful memories with Kathy bring peace and comfort to her family!

Kathy - with a "K" was one heck of a lady. Brave and determined to put a smile on the faces she cooked for, spoke to and to those she encountered.
We shared food, laughs and good conversation. She will be Truely missed.
To her family -I offer these words
"Remember "all the Good Times, The Great Times and All the Times she put a smile on your Face" She will always live in your heart and your memories. She will never be forgotten by the USPP Family that she adopted as her own. We are here for you as one family and we wish you Peace while you grieve.
