Obituary of Kathryn A Tufaro
Kathryn A.Tufaro, 61, a long-time resident of Clifton, NJ, passed away on September 2, 2017, surrounded by her loving family and friends. Born in Paterson, NJ in 1956, Kathy grew up in West Paterson and graduated from Passaic Valley High School in 1974.
Kathy had many amazing talents. She worked for many years, with others and in her own businesses, as a landscaper and a florist. Kathy was one of the talented staff at Dee's Florist (now Philip Dicristina's Art of Fine Flowers). For the last ten years, Kathy worked for the National Park Service as secretary for the US Park Police, Ellis Island Station. She loved her work family there. She enjoyed cooking and baking for others, and made amazing desserts. She was an avid lover of all animals. She loved and took care of her own animals, as well as those of family and friends, and all the animals in her own backyard. She also truly enjoyed helping people and gave her time and energy to making people's lives better.
Kathy is survived by her Aunt Marie Barlow of Seaside Park, NJ, her Uncle John Tufaro and Aunt Fran Tufaro of Little River, SC, as well as her many cousins Bill Barlow, Maripat Barlow-Layne, Scott Barlow, Deborah Conoscenti, Tracy Basile, Lauren Abramson, Lou Tufaro, Chris Tufaro, Gary Tufaro, and Greg Tufaro. Kathy was predeceased by her parents, Joan and James Tufaro, as well as many other aunts and uncles.
Visitation will be held on Friday from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Ave., Woodland Park, NJ. A funeral service will begin on Saturday at 11:00am at Santangelo Funeral Home. Guests may arrive at 10am. Burial will follow at Laurel Grove Cemetery in Totowa.
