Yes, Robin, even though we lived in the same town & her late husband was my mom's cousin and I attended her & Donald's wedding in the 1960's, I basically never saw/talked to her until she started attending L.F. UMChurrch -- I will miss 'catching up' with her at the Sunday coffeehours whenever she wasn't away visiting her son, Richard., & family (her son, daughter-in-law Marisol & 2 grandsons), Marisol, always wanted Dot to move down to live with them, but Dorothy always refused, saying she never wanted to be a burden.
My grandmother's brother, Uncle John Hoedemaker, was the first of the Hoedemakers to leave Holland in the early 1900's, ultimately settling down the street here on Ryle Park Ave., W.P., and then he was joined by the rest o his family, including his sister, my grandmother, Trina Hoedemaker Kuyper, and his other siblings --
Dorothy is the last Hoedemaker (following Edgar's passing) to live in W.P.
