Obituary of Donna Marie Nahass

 

Donna Marie Nahass, 61, of Philadelphia, PA, passed away on December 3, 2018 with her family at her side after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on December 13, 1956 in Paterson, NJ to the late Albert and Catherine Nahass. Donna completed her undergraduate studies at Villanova University and graduated with honors from the University of Pennsylvania in 1992 as a nurse practitioner. Donna received numerous accolades and awards; she was the recipient of the 2007 Nancy Tatem RN award for distinguished service in the field of Geriatric Nursing.

Donna worked as a geriatric nurse practitioner at the Medical College of Pennsylvania and at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia. She was the catalyst for a group of geriatric specialists integrating her expert knowledge of medicine with her care, love and passion for the elderly.

Donna is survived by her beloved husband, Barry Field, her sisters Barbara Nahass and Robin Margherita, her brother in law Benny Margherita, her nephew Gregory and  fiancé Jaclyn , her niece Catherine and her husband Dom Carbone and many loving cousins, friends and family.

Visitation will be Thursday from 4-8pm at St. Ann Melkite Church, 802 Rifle Camp Rd., Woodland Park, NJ. A funeral service will be offered on Friday at 9:30am at St. Ann's Melkite Church. Cremation will be private.
