Dear Walter, Carol & families,
Naomi just sent me the news which I was very sad to hear, but I'm sure she was very happy that she'd been blessed with a long life to enjoy the family she loved so much.
She was a second mom to my sister and me and so much a part of the great little town and time in which we grew up. I remember waiting out the peak of the Cuban missile crisis in your living room with her and her taking care of me when Mom was on the way to the hospital, having Naomi in the ambulance.
I think she would appreciate very much that you are having a service in West Paterson for her. She touched so many lives there.
I hope somewhere she's sitting on a porch in a summer evening, drinking iced tea with old neighbors, waiting for the street lights to come on to see if the kids come back from the playground.
God bless you Beatrice.
Love,
Walt Winslow
