My Uncle Martin was a very caring and sweet person. Whenever we spoke on the telephone, he was quick to ask how everyone was doing, and said to say hello to everyone. And always thanked me for calling. But most of my memories will be the times he called me on my birthday, and sang to me. A few years ago, he gave me one hundred dollars for my birthday. I used it to purchase a cherry tree, that my husband Jack planted.
He knew about the tree, and I told him whenever I looked out my window, I would remember him. Nearby is the fig tree, that came from my Aunt Katie's house (his sister), and next to that is the liliac tree from my dad's house (his brother). Thank you for being in my life. Love, Your Niece Rosemary
