I spoke to your lovely and gracious Aunt Betty just a few times, often when picking up the telephone at my mother, Muriel Yarcich's home or answering Betty's concerned calls when my mom was ill a few years ago. I always recognized her friendly voice right away and enjoyed the chance to chat with her for a few minutes before turning the phone over to my mom. They were such good friends for many years, working together with the Council of Catholic Women and Rosary Society functions, my mother, a member of Saint Mary's in Paterson for many years. Betty was a great companion, confidant, and comfort to my Mom, especially during this last difficult year of Covid-created isolation. While they missed the in-person contact, they spoke regularly and it was always a high point in my mom's day to chat with Betty. I know my mom would have sent you a warm message of condolence; sadly she passed in December. Perhaps instead, she is there with a hug and a smile to help welcome your aunt into heaven and show her around. Likely, they are planning on overseeing the next Communion Breakfast. God bless and comfort you.
Most sincerely,
Muriel Sheridan
