Obituary of Eleanor Solimene

SOLIMENE, Eleanor (nee Spero), age 89, of Totowa, died March 5, 2008. Mrs. Solimene was born in Paterson, NJ. She worked for Meyer Brothers Department Store in Paterson for many years. She was a member of the Totowa Seniors, Passaic County Adult Day Care, Totowa, and The Italian American Club, Totowa. She was a parishioner of St. James Church, Totowa as well as a member of the St. James Rosary Society. Devoted wife to the late Michael Solimene. Loving mother to Michael L. and his wife Marie, Leonard and his wife Ann, and Anna Marie Rock and her husband Curtis. Cherished grandmother to Michael D., Michele, Linda Beth, Christopher, Kristen, and Megan and eight great grandchildren. Predeceased by five brothers and three sisters. Also survived by sister Anne Muccio as well as many nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Avenue, West Paterson, NJ. The funeral mass will be Saturday at 9:30 am at St. James Church, Totowa. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Totowa First Aid Squad, 537 Totowa Road, Totowa, NJ 07512 in her memory.
