Let me start by saying there is no man alive that could ever fill his shoes. He was more to me than my uncle he was like a father to me .Thats how I loved him like a father and thats how he treated me ,he was always there for me in good times and in bad times .He never had a negative word to say to me ,he always took care of me and he was always so funny and as far as I could tell there wasnt a person around that didnt like him. He was a good friend and a wonderful husband and family man .Any one who knew Uncle Dave is surely going to miss him,I know I will .There are so many things I remember ,so many memories I wouldnt even know where to start ,maybe I will start by saying that if it wasnt for him I still might not be able to make change of a dollar.LOL or tell time for that matter. It was always Aunt Ann and Uncle Dave ,they took me on vacations and out to dinner so many times to so many nice places ,one time he took me to Richie D's house and there was a beautiful car in his garage ,Uncle Dave said to me " You like that car? " I said YES !!! he said "Its yours.I would meet up with him many a time at the Jolly fiddler for lunch .There are many things I could write about but it would be a book by the time I was done ,all I can say is He was loveing ,careing kind and generous he loved his family and friends and always treated them with respect. there is a saying ."they dont make them like that anymore" and let me tell you he is fine example of that .Uncle Dave the love I have for you in my heart will never fade.there is no one that could ever take your place, you will always live on in all of our hearts forever... I will miss you like crazy .You always worked so hard ,Rest now and some day we will all be together again.Oh Yeah !and when I get ther could you please make sure you have a shirley temple waiting for me .Two cherries please !thanks...

Uncle Dave,
You are going to be missed so much. You always made me laugh and put a smile on my face. When being in your company it was nothing but the best. You always lit up the room with your jokes. You are one of the greatest men that I know, You are now finally at peace and home with the best.
My deepest condolences at this difficult time.
LOVE GINA

As far back as I can remember there was always Uncle Dave. Maybe not as far back as my cousin Charlie who swears he remembers seeing him in his Marine uniform in the hospital when he was born. I do remember all the times he told me how big I was when he and Aunt Ann had to hold me at my baptism as my godparents. And when he stuck his onetime trademark cigar in my mouth when I was about seven years old.Or how he would torture my mother when he was a kid.I have always proudly carried his name as my middle name, and will continue to do so. And when I was younger and my hair was redder and people would call me "Red", and most red heads hate being called Red, but to me it was like comparing me to Uncle Dave.I have been told I don't only share his name as my middle name, and the red hair thing. But I share his sense of humor as well, and have always been proud to be a "ballbuster" like my favorite uncle. Like so many other people in this world I never got to tell these things to him, but in my heart I know that he knew how I felt about him.It is hard to believe he is gone and I will miss him greatly.Right now I can picture him having a scotch with the lord, and asking him to pull his finger.

Well I have a lot of memories with my uncle. I loved him very much & I know he loved me too. He use to take me down the shore, on his boat (when he had it), out to eat, took me with him to work sometimes, made me laugh like crazy until my stomach hurt! He would never let anyone talk bad about me or let anyone hurt me. He always use to yell at me for biting my nails & he use to say "get them fingers out of your mouth stop biting them nails you got nubs". I was his baby but as he became sick he was my baby. I took care of him when need be. I made up a name for him. I called Uncle Dave "The Known" & I was "The Baby". I have so many memories that I couldnt even begin to write them. There just wouldnt be enough space. One day he made me laugh & it was the cutest thing. I have my tongue pierced & he goes "u still got that tongue button on". Me, grandma & zizi were dying of laughter. He also called my nose ring a "shiny thing". He told me he saw it sparkle. He was my best pal. I loved him so much & nothing will ever change that. I may not have been able to tell him goodbye but his memory will last a lifetime always & forever in my heart! There are so many bad people in the world & "HE" chooses to take the good one. But its ok now because you will not have to live the rest of your life in pain or suffering or even with that stupid oxygen anymore. Now you can be my guardian angel & watch over me & the rest of our family. Uncle "Skippy" I LOVE YOU & I MISS YOU SO MUCH! IT DOESNT MATTER IF YOU ARE HERE OR IN HEAVEN NOW...YOU WILL ALWAYS BE IN MY HEART & MIND! And I will know when you are watching me because I always know you never let me out of your sight. May you rest in peace now & for the 46476434 time I LOVE YOU & WE LOVE YOU! Keep us safe! Keep watching over us! And make sure you dont drink too many scotches up there...I dont need you getting drunk like the "old times"!
~Amen~
