My sympathies to Bobby's family. Bobby and his officers were a great help and comfort to me when my husband got sick and died of lung cancer as I had troubles with my daughter. Sat thru softball games (watching my daughter) with Tami, Bobby and the dog while they cheered Frankie on all those years ago.
As I say about my own loss, they are healed and not suffering anymore. Remember the good times and all the happy memories---they will help you through this difficult time.

We all morn the passage of great servant to our community of Woodland Park, Chief Robert C. Reda. As a member of this community I join with you the feeling of sadness that he is not longer with us but at the same time I share with you the feeling of hope that we will meet him again in the home of our Heavenly Father.
Our Lord said, "I am the resurrection and the life. Those who believe in me, even though they die, will live, and everyone who lives and believes in me will never die." John 11:25-26. Based on that Scripture we believe that at the moment of death the soul is separated from the body but the soul the spirit will live forever.
On behalf of Holy Cross Parish and my family I extend heartfelt sympathy to the members of his family, parents Samuel and Jessie Reda, wife Tami, children Francesca and GianCarlo, brother Anthony Reda and his wife Janice and Michael Reda and his wife Gina, relatives and friends.
Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace. Amen.
With sadness,
Fr. Joseph R. Cyman
Pastor of Holy Cross Church P.N.C.C. Woodland Park, NJ

Back in the day--when Bob was a new young cop-I was one of the guys that seemed to allways find my way into trouble in town. I am not proud to say that I was a jerk but the guy allways treated me fairly while doing his job-even though I didnt deserve it.Years later-as I was finally getting myself together-i wold run into Bob in the coffee spots in town-and he would allways ask how I was doing--and smile--he truly cared-I seldom take off my hat-but was proud to bear it on my heart today when his procession rolled through-as a law enforcer-he went beyond his job-and never held a grudge-and I have total respect for the guy. I feel for his family.-and gotta say he was a class act--he was my number one influence to walk on the straight path and was a cop with a heart.

Dear Sammy, Jessie and Tammy:
There are no words that could express our sorrow and sadness at the passing of Bobby. It is so difficult to find a reason why or to justify it in our minds. We can only reason that his goodness was spread out among all of us, and now the Lord needs him to watch over us all from above. We know our Jerry, will never be the same after having Bobby as his special friend, and his memory will always be a part of his heart. Theirs was a special friendship and brotherhood. We are here if you need us.
