I'll always love and respect and thank my Dad for the lessons he taught me by example and the support he gave me when I needed it. And for being a great Grandpa to Ian and Miranda. I'm very glad he was able to enjoy his life to the fullest for 8 decades. I'll always miss him but will remember him as a happy and fulfilled person who made other people happy just by being around. Herc or as i like to call him grandpa.he was their for first words to now to the day i was born.one of the funnest memories was for Christmas i had got him a cup. and every time you pick it up it would sing.so by the end of dinner everyone was really up site with me because you could not get to talk without hearing that song.Now every time that song plays i will think of you it is going to be weird going to your house and seeing you not their.But their is one place you will always be.And that in my hear.no matter what day you be in there.cause ever move it make and ever step i take ever song i make ever breath i take ill be missing you.And don't you forget that.Ilove you =)

He's my Dad and I can't imagine life without him. I'm very grateful for the years we had and strangly enough, even though I hated that stroke and how it damaged his last years, it, opened our relationship and gave us time and experiences I will cherish forever. We kept our promise to him, he died at home in his bed. I wish for him days in the sunshine at the beach, teaching Samantha and Spenser to love the ocean and to ride the waves, like he did for all of us. Thank you Daddy

I will miss Herc so much. He was a great guy. To me he was fun to be around and he gave gentle, helpful advice to me, many times. He was more than just a relative - since he was married to my cousin Jean - he was a friend. Linda

Dear Jean & Family, I'm so saddened to learn of your recent losses. As painful as our losses are, I am also reminded of the wonderful memories the Ferrante/Saporito families, etc., etc., etc.,had together during the Clifton/Upper Montclair/Montclair Beach Club days. Herc, especially, was very much in the forefront of these vivid memories.. a wonderful man full of life, a kind & gentle soul who will never be forgotten. Fondly, Celeste

My Uncle Herc was always very dear to me.He was my only uncle and I was his only niece, so I think that made us special to each other.He was one of the few people that always called me by my full name. I enjoyed hearing him call me "Valverdine". Most people don't know or use my full name. I have fond memories of shared holidays and dinners with him telling us funny stories. His hands were always strong,tan and gentle.I liked looking at his hands as he aged. I will miss Uncle Herc. I hope he is happy now and at peace with his parents,son ,grandchildren and sister. Love you. Valverdine
