Obituary of Eugene J. Barrett, Sr.

Eugene J. Barrett, Sr., "Coach Gene", age 57, passed away on October 2, 2009. He was born in Paterson to the late Owen and Ann Barrett. He coached the Paterson Colts and the Fireman's Baseball Team in Paterson. He also started the Flag Football League in Paterson. He will be sadly missed by his beloved wife Renee (nee Carrano). He is the loving father of Lucien, Eugene Jr., Daemon, Maggie, and Jarred and grandfather of his grandson Jayden. Visiting hours will be Tuesday from 8:30am - 10:00am at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Avenue, Woodland Park. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 10:00am on Tuesday. Cremation will be private by the request of the family.
