Carol and I met 14 years ago when she came to Canada for SAP and I instantly liked her. She was easy to approach, always willing to help and had a wonderful sense of humour. It was great to have the opportunity to work with her again in 2010. She was not only a great coworker but a great friend. My deepest condolences to her family.

Our son worked on the same project at Hoffman LaRoche. She was his supervisor and friend. Jim passed away in 2003, suddenly, and Mrs. Pomante was most solituous and caring. She brought all his office stuff here to our home. We will never forget her kindness. We are truly sorry to see that she has passed away, and much too soon.
Our Sincerest Condolences to her family. She will live on in our thoughts and prayers.
Sincerely,
John & Helen Puzio

My dearest Carol,
I still can't believe you are gone. You have been so much to me over the years. A friend, a mother figure. Always putting your needs aside to be there for others. You were truly a quite. We have shared so many laughs so many tears. You never turned your back on me no matter what the situation you just sat and listened without judgement. You will remain in my heart forever. I love you my friend.

Ah. 5 1/5 years shared (including a few 2-all-the-ways!) is a significant sharing! Your job is done and you've gone back home. I can almost see you smile & wink your "knowing wink" at that fact. We shall see you again - after. May your family's sadness be lightened by the many fond memories of you.

My sincerest condolences to Gaetan and the family. I thank the powers that be for putting me on a path that lead me to Roche 14 years ago. I spent eight wonderful years working for Carol. I owe so much of who I am today both in business and as a mom to Carol. Her compassion, support, guidance and the memories we shared will be with me for a lifetime. I have in my hand her ‘Apple Cake’ recipe that she wrote out for me on “Quest notepad paper entitled … ’31 days until Launch’. I miss you Carol ... you will forever be in our hearts.

I'll always owe a debt of gratitude to Carol for my professional career: in bringing me back to Roche in 2001, and supporting my going to China in 2005, she set me on a path I couldn't have imagined without her guidance. But the memory I will always cherish the most is sitting with her in the bar of the Embassy Suites in South San Francisco, playing cards until they kicked us out. In the midst of the most arduous projects, Carol would always still find energy to laugh and share her unique spirit with us. She was as passionate about winning a game of "SCAT" as she was in making sure testing deadlines were met. She was one in a million, and will be dearly missed. May God Bless her, and keep her family in Grace.

She had extremely high standard of work ethics, always willing to go extra miles to take care business. The support I got from Carol was tremendous. R.I.P. Carol.

Our friendship goes back a long way, even before Gaeton and Loren were born...though regretfully we have recently lost touch. Reading these posts, it is clear that you remained the same challenging, giving person you have always been. You left a positive imprint on so many who were fortunate enough to cross your path, and we will all miss you greatly. The Galese family, including Carmen and Tiny extend our deepest sympathy and condolences to your family...it just won't be the same without you. You are in a better place, well-deserved.

Carol and I were colleagues at Roche. She was a wonderful mate, always ready to help and give her best attention to you. She was passionate about her work. But never forgot her family. Her husband and the long way done together. Her children, speaking often about the studies of the youngest.
This happened so quickly. I will kept you in my memories, never fading away.

Carol was simply a wonderful human being. Her generosity, good will, and intensity was immediately obvious to everyone she knew. We drove each other crazy at times but that was part of the package. When Carol would show up at my office door, it was normally for one of two reasons -- either I was overlooking something that I needed to pay more attention to (and this always included an explicit offer to help), or it was time to decompress over lunch at the Hot Grill with a root beer and "2 all the way, 2". I will forever be in Carol's debt for all her support and friendship over the years. May God bless her soul and the family she clearly loved so much.

Carol and I were colleagues at Roche…but more than that, Carol was an inspiration in life in general. If something was worth doing it was done 150%. This was reflected in her superb work ethic but more so in her positive attitude to life. She absolutely beamed when she talked about her family, and she gave me advice and the strength to follow my heart, knowing that the bumpy road ahead would lead to happiness and reward beyond description. Thank you Carol, I will miss you. Melinda

We were colleagues for so long, enjoyed the good time and were side by side in the more difficult time. You were the most senior of the dream team and also my biggest challenger, but you always present, come along and helped when it was serious. As always, the team was on your side for this battle, unfortunate did not win it but it’s not a lost war. You are now enjoying the higher view, and from heaven I’m sure you will be helping your family and friends in another way. We had an appointment outstanding (Aug 1st 2020 in front of the Lido in Paris on the Champs Elysee) and I’m sure you will be with us…I miss you Carol and want to express to your husband and children what a wonderful person you were.
