Jean and my mom, Helaine Freede, were great friends from the time of their pregnancies, three of which occurred together, so that Pam and I are the same age and oldest friends. My sister, Karen, and brother, Eric, “match� Jay and Richard in age as well. We have remained cherished friends for decades, as did our moms. We all miss them both. The Freedes remember Jean’s warm smile and support of our mom in her last illness. We wish the Saporita family peace in this difficult time.
