Obituary of Georgette "Jean" Saporita
Georgette "Jean" Saporita (nee Sanfelici), of Clifton, passed away on August 24, 2012 at home surrounded by her family. Jean was born in Paterson to the late Arthur and Martha Sanfelici.
Jean returned to college as an adult to receive a degree in library science and later worked as a librarian for many years at Passaic School #1. Jean was also a volunteer at the Clifton Library and the Yogi Berra Museum. Jean will long be remembered for her love of theatre, traveling and the beach.
She was the beloved wife of the late Herman "Herc" Saporita for 62 years. She was the adored mother of Pamela Saporita, Richard Saporita and his wife Maureen, Marybeth Saporita and her husband Ray and the late Jay Saporita. She was the treasured grandmother of Ian and Miranda Saporita. She is also survived by her devoted cat Tasha. The family wishes to thank Nuris for her loving care and friendship.
Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Ave., Woodland Park, NJ. A funeral service will be held on Monday at 11:30am at Santangelo Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Laurel Grove Cemetery in Totowa.
