Obituary of Gaetano C. Iandiorio

Gaetano C. "Tommy" Iandiorio, age 91, of Verona, passed away on October 16, 2011. Tommy was born in Newark, NJ to the late Vincenzo and Eleanor Iandiorio. He proudly served in the United States Army during WWII. He later worked at Worthington Pump Company in Harrison, NJ from 1946 to 1982 in addition to multiple part time jobs. Tommy was a 4th Degree Knight in the Knights of Colombus, St. Isaac Jogues #0649, a member of the Italian American Club in Verona, a member of the Worthington Quarter Century Club, and a member of the VFW Post #6255 in Cedar Grove. He was a parishioner for many years at Our Lady of the Lake Church in Verona. Tommy was the beloved husband of the late Giovannina, the treasured father of Eleanor Califano and her husband Jeffrey, Dr. Marie Cirasella and her husband John, Joanne Butterly and her husband John, and Thomas Iandiorio and his wife Kathleen, and the cherished grandfather to Allison, David, Michael, Nina, and Robert. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, Woodland Park, NJ. A funeral Mass will be offered on Thursday at 10am at Our Lady of the Lake Church, 32 Lakeside Ave, Verona. Guests may arrive at Santangelo Funeral Home at 9am.
