Obituary of Peter Gambino

Peter Gambino, 72, of Woodland Park, passed away on April 20, 2013 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Naples, Italy to the late Giovanni and Maria Gambino. Peter worked as an industrial mechanic at Precision Custom Coating in Totowa for many years before retiring. Peter was a parishioner at Our Lady of Pompeii Church in Paterson and a member of the Serino Social Club in Paterson. He was the beloved husband of Giuseppina (nee Passero) for nearly 50 years. He was the cherished father of Maria Gambino, Rosanna Smeragliuolo and her husband Tommy, Giovanni Pietro Gambino and his wife Tea and the late Goivanni Gambino. He was the adored grandfather of Peter and JonJon Gambino. He is the dear brother of Anna Piscitelli and her husband Anthony, Rosario Gambino, Elena Gambino, Antonietta Gambino and her late husband Renato Pulcini and the late Gianna Pane and her husband Mario and Uncle to Frank Piscitelli and his wife Doreen, Eva Peransi and her husband Mike, Madeline Preta and her husband Enzo, Rosanna Sabino and her husband Jon, Sandra Pane and Paolo Povolo and his wife Silvia. Visitation will be Monday from 2-4 & 7-9pm at Santangelo Funeral Home, 635 McBride Ave., Woodland Park, NJ. A funeral Mass will be offered Tuesday at 9:30am at Our Lady of Pompeii Church, 70 Murray Ave., Paterson. Guests may arrive at the funeral home at 8:30am.
