There's not much more that I can add to the beautiful eulogies from my brother Raymond and my sister Darlene. They captured the essence of my father that was an integral part in every moment his children were with him and in every memory that his children will always hold so dear.
Dad, you were the greatest father that any child could have ever hoped for. You are with Mom again in Heaven, the greatest mother that any child could have ever hoped for. It's the beginning of your new life together as both of you renew your marital vows in front of God, and this marriage will last for eternity.
I love you, Dad, and forever will.

First Euology at Funeral Mass
When I think of my wonderful father, I think of a strong man who took the role of a father at a very young age because his own father had left his family;
- a caring man who carried his mother in his arms to doctor visits and hospital treatments due to colon cancer;
- a good man who was a devoted husband, a very proud father, a grandfather, and a great-grandfather;
- a kind gentle loving Christian man who never had a bad thing to say about anyone (truly a great friend);
- a considerate man who knew the importance of family and giving his wife breaks from us children by taking us for nature walks, to feed the ducks at Garret Mountain, or to have fun at Palisades Amusement Park;
- a spiritual man who said that he was involved in a love triangle with God, our Mom, and himself;
- a man of great character who was solid as a rock in his beliefs and values (unshakable, and yet while never judging others);
- a responsible man who took his role as a parent very seriously;
- a spiritual man who instilled the faith of God in his family;
- a man who was a father that gave us all a deep appreciation for nature and all of God's magnificent creations (the simple pleasures being the best);
- a sociable man who welcomed everyone with his happy smile and greeted them warmly, always saying their name because everyone was special to him;
- a man who said many times "all this world needs is a little kindness (words that he had heard from his mother many times);
- a man who was such an amazing father who deeply loved his family with all his heart.
We could not be any more grateful to God for allowing us to have had such an incredible man as our father for so long. We have a priceless treasure chest of memories that can never be taken away. Our father always said that he was the wealthiest man in the world because he lived life simply and knew the true meaning of the word "content"; a man who lived a rich life simply; a man who was rewarded by God with a peaceful death.
If our dad could speak today, I am sure that he would tell all of you that it was truly a wonderful life.
I love you so much Dad and will miss you forever.

Second Euology at Funeral Mass
Many people will tell you that they love their parents; some because of a fortunate lifestyle, a comfortable home, gifts of cell phones, computers, paying a college tuition, a new car for graduation, diamond earrings or a gold bracelet. In a world dominated by material things, sometimes we are deceived into believing that love has a dollar sign attached to it.
I know that I speak for my brother and 3 sisters when I tell you that we loved our father. But we loved him for a different reason: we loved him because of the HEARTBEATS.
From the time we were babies, Dad had TIME for us. Our family had a rich life lived in a simple way. He took us to Garrett Mountain for nature walks and family picnics. There were the days at Lake Hopatcong State Park, Palisades Park, and several other places where because of Dad's press credentials, a family of 7 could get a discount for admission; all those vacation weeks that he worked so that his family could enjoy a few days at the Jersey shore.
A man whose father had abandoned him as a child and helped a mother raise his two baby brothers was somehow a GIANT at being a father himself; all those thousands of hours spent with his children, giving time, advice, guidance, encouragement, compassion, empathy, and discipline when needed; all the thousands of hours; all those millions of his heartbeats that will never be heard again except in our wonderful memories. THAT was his gift, and THAT is why we love him and forever will.

Dad,
What can I say except that you were the most wonderful father any child could ask for. You gave all of your children your time, patience and unconditional love always. We were so lucky. You and mom always put our needs first and often neglected yourselves in doing so. I am so proud to be your daughter. I will miss seeing you at all of our family functions, at St. Bonaventure's Church and especially at St. Joseph's Home. I will never be able to pull into that entrance without thinking of you sitting outside in the warm sun by mom's tree with your hands folded, either looking at the tree or dozing off a bit. But you would open them and put a huge smile on your face when we would come up the pathway to visit. If you were not there you were often in the lobby by the fish tank or the fireplace......Gosh, I'm going to miss seeing you so much but I thank God for ALL of the wonderful memories that I have from the time I was a toddler to present. You and mom are reunited in heaven and that is the thought I will hold onto for the rest of my life. I love you dearly dad....
