I am deeply saddened by the loss of my almost brother in law James. I observed Sharon and James loving relationship blossom over the years. they were so very happy and it gives me comfort you know he had that kind of love in his life at the end. Thank you James for your tender loving ways that you showed toward my twin sister, Sharon. I promised you look after Sharon even though I know it will take a long time to mend your broken heart. We are all brokenhearted as life will be so different without you we have lost a wonderful man. Goodbye for now. XO

We are a close knit Italian family who tend to share everything one day about 3-4 years ago my big sister Sharon came to me to tell me she was going on a date with someone named James Osgood who worked with her in the county I encouraged her saying that it is something that you need to do as she had not dated in 12 years since her husband Dennis passed away After the first date she said he was really great and she was looking forward to more dates with him but she was cautiously optimistic because she tends to be skeptical of one who is almost too good to believe. they dated for about five months and she finally got up the courage to bring him to meet the entire family he immediately blended in and became part of the group coming to all holiday occasions Christmas, Easter thanksgiving all birthdays and barbecues a typical James story: last summer we were planning on having a barbecue at my home everyone showed up and my big sister was trying to bully me into eating earlier I got stubborn and wanted to wait until 530 James looked at his phone and said we are going to have a big storm in about 13 minutes over Oakland then he warned me at the eight minute mark that it was getting closer the grill was hot and I was putting the meat on when all of a sudden the skies opened up and my arm started to get wet and then just as quickly no more rain I looked up and saw my golf umbrella over my head with James holding the umbrella to shelter me from the storm. I turned to him and gave him a big smile of gratitude that is typical of James always there to protect and serve and help others he is a true gentleman Sharon and James were planning to marry in October 2016 and I was looking forward to having him as a new brother-in-law I will miss him dearly but I know he is in heaven serving enjoying and loving everyone
I will miss you Brother

I first met Mr. Osgood when I was a teenager. My father and I went to his facility to drop off one of his new food delivery trucks. He greeted me as though I was old friend and talked to me as if he had known me his whole life. He was animated and always wonderful to talk to. Of all the people I talk to at the office I looked forward to his calls the most. I feel as though Passaic has lost a great champion and a wonderful caretaker. I can not imagine anyone filling his shoes and doing the job he did with the passion and fervor which he always exuded. My condolences to all of his friends and family and all the many many lives that he has touched. I will miss him dearly and I send my prayers to all his loved ones.

Sharon, It is so hard to believe that the LOVE OF YOUR LIFE, James, has left us. You both were so devoted, happy and in love with each other. You were with James from seeing his Doctors to being with him everyday while in the hospital. You are his Angel and he will now always be your Guardian Angel.
Love,

Dear Kathleen - I have known Jim all of my life and although we have not had a close relationship, I have always had a lot of respect and admiration for him and how he has been there for others - his family, his friends and for the people of Passaic County. Whenever I called him he was always ready to help me or my clients.
I extend my condolences to you and your brother on this loss. This time of year brings back memories of Jim and us sleigh riding together with other neighborhood kids and my brother Tony at the old Methodist Church parking lot on Church Street before the old church burned down and the new one was built. I remember too when your home was built - we lived at 90 Washington Place and Frank Leah built that home between the Malatestas and the Brigindis. Please also extend my condolences to your grandmother - "Aunt Adele" as we called her.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
